Along the lines of brainstorming here, we have the possibility of planning a trip to Shoshoni for part of your teacher training. We could do it in early November, or more like April or May, rather than the dead of winter.
We could arrive on Friday, and leave Sunday afternoon. The cost would be $153 for the program and then the costs for lodging (the choices are on the Shoshoni website.) They would count that as 13 hours of training, and we could then skip 2 Saturdays on our schedule here.
Or we could plan to arrive Thursday, and leave Sunday or Monday.
I realize that it might be difficult to coordinate the date with all of you. I had the idea to take one of the November teacher training Saturdays, and just go during that time.
Let me know what your thoughts are.

Having never been to Shoshoni, and knowing that one day I must go there, I would love to do this. Life is complicated right now, however, so scheduling could be a problem for me. A Spring trip would be easier to schedule, but I will look at Amy's call schedule to see what November looks like.

So, like I said earlier, November would be iffy, but not necessarily impossible for me. HOWEVER, if ya'll want to go then, by all means DO!
Just exploring possibilities right now.....I think my preference might be spring, but sometimes they have great quantities of snow in April.
I would be up for anything. Leaving on a Friday would be best, unless we started out on a Thursday evening. I really would like to make the trip someday. Also, my husband is pretty flexible on Friday's depending on his call schedule.
It's going to be hard for me to go, but I'd love to do it; if everyone wants to, I'll make it work. It would be a lot easier for me in the spring though.
I would have to get a sub to teach the Rec Center classes on the Thursday we leave, so I would need to know by the middle of this month to make those arrangements.
